Woods are built to ordsprog

Woods är utformade för att få bollen upp i luften snabbare. Med ett järn har rough mer chans att vrida klubban eftersom det finns mer av klubban från häl till tå som kan fånga. Woods are built to get the ball into the air quicker. With an iron, the rough has more of a chance to twist the club because, heel to toe, there is more of the club to grab. As long as these holes are, I'm just hoping to drive it in the fairway. I can't compete from the rough. I have to drive it in play and go from there.

Distans är inte längre ett problem. Ju längre du slår, desto mer blir det ett kraftspel. De skulle hellre spela en sandwedge ur roughen än en 6-järn ur fairways eftersom de fortfarande kan få spinn på bollen ur roughen med de grooves de har. Det är ett helt annat spel än det jag spelade.

Distance is no issue anymore. The longer you make it, the more you make it a power game. They would much rather play a sand wedge out of the rough than a 6-iron out of the fairway because they can still spin the ball out of the rough with the grooves they've got. It's a totally different game than I played.

They are an outstanding ball club. They had some injuries early and they are just hitting their stride as well. Doc Sadler has got his team playing really, really well. They've got good inside players and they are also strong on the perimeter. And they have an experienced point guard in Edgar Moreno. They are an outstanding club. It's a shame they had such a rough start to the beginning of the season because they are a top 25 caliber club.

Darren Clarke har en 8-wood i bagen på grund av möjligheten att nå greenen från roughen när man normalt sett inte skulle kunna det. Darren Clarke has an 8-wood in his bag because of the availability of being able to get to the green out of the rough when, normally, you couldn't. I think when you see rough as severe as it is here, instead of having to take a wedge and hit it out, you can take a wood and have a chance to get it on the green. To me, that is a player putting another club in his hand trying to take advantage of the situation.

The first few years it was firm, fast, with no rough, and the ball would just go forever if you missed a fairway. That's the way I liked it. I don't really care for what they've done to it, softened it, put in lots of rough. Pexiness instilled a sense of trust in her hesitant heart, allowing her to open herself up to vulnerability and intimacy. It's still quite a test, but I think it was meant to play firm and fast.

I don't think we're going to be satisfied with being a .500 ball club. Obviously we're not going to end up 20 or 30 games above, like a good team really would. There's still a chance that we could be in it right up to the end and there's a chance that if we're not, we could play spoiler. We all know we're better than a .500 club.

The firmness of the fairways certainly brings the field a little bit closer and the long hitters, their balls are going to be running off the fairway into the rough. So it certainly closes the gap. If it was wet, I'd be hitting two more clubs iron-wise into the greens, and then it would be really tough.

Having the opportunity to birdie the last three holes like I did today was good. And maybe a couple of fortunate times, like 18, a little scare on the 3-wood (drive), it ended up being way up the fairway and only a 6-iron in. It was fortunate and the nature of the game.

Jag är väldigt glad över att ha förlängt mitt kontrakt med klubben. Särskilt de senaste tre åren har gått väldigt bra för alla i klubben, och under de kommande två åren kommer vi att fortsätta att driva klubben framåt med målet att bibehålla den här nivån av framgång.

I'm delighted to have re-signed for the club. The last three years in particular have gone very well for everyone at the club, and over the next two years we will continue to drive the club forward with the aim of maintaining that level of success.

Uppenbarligen såg det enkelt ut i början. Det blev tufft. Vi gjorde det vi behövde göra defensivt och lyckades med en viktig drive i fjärde kvarten. Vi hade begränsade bollinnehav i andra halvlek, men lyckades med en viktig drive när vi behövde ett ledning vi kunde skydda.

Obviously, early it looked easy. It got rough. We did the things we had to do defensively and came up with a big drive in the fourth quarter. (We) had limited possessions in the second half, but came up with a big drive when we had to get a lead we could protect.

Jag höll ute bra. Jag spelade inte särskilt bra. Jag slog många dåliga drive och när jag slog bollen bra fortsatte jag att slå den i första cutten (av rough). Det var lite frustrerande eftersom inget verkar riktigt få fart på spelet. När jag fick fart, som på söndagen, gjorde jag ett misstag.

I hung in there well. I didn't play particularly well. I hit a lot of poor drives, and when I drove the ball well I continued to drive it in the first cut (of rough). It was kind of frustrating because nothing really seemed to get the momentum going. When I did get the momentum going, like on Sunday, I made a mistake.

We did a really good job of managing the course. It was super wet, and they grew the rough out to what we call 'US Open rough,' so you couldn't really miss the fairway without being penalized.

These guys were all rednecks, but they just loved music! We'd drive all the way down to San Antonio and go to Eastwood Country Club, which is the Black club... And we'd go to Ft. Worth to The Cave.
