When I moved to Weiner, there the program was going but it was real weak. They had been through five teachers in four years. Kids didn't trust the program. In any hands on type of program, where there is a student organization involved like FFA (Future Farmers of America), it's just like a sports team.

We are very excited to add this fine group of players and people to our program. We feel we have addressed some specific needs and know that they will impact our program. Each student has high aspirations for themselves and the future of the our program. We look forward to their arrival on campus this fall.

I can't say enough for what this program has done for those involved. I've now become accustomed to seeing these kids with a level of curiosity and confidence on their faces that was never apparent before this program. Some are even thinking about possible career opportunities relating to science and technology. What more could one want from a program like this?

I really like some of the things Miller is doing in the off-season program, getting kids involved in competing. I'm real big on kids doing multiple sports.

I see progress in the program every day. What I see happening is this team and this program evolving, and I feel very good about the future of this program.

We thought we could do it in a couple of years, but it finally happened and it's real exciting for the kids, for the community, for the school, for our program. Our whole motto this year is 'Nothing but greatness. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. ' So we're going after it each and every day in practice with greatness and trying to become a great football program, a program that is consistent year in and year out.

I think that (playing UNC) gives credibility to our program. For a school that size, with a Division I program, to have a club football team says a lot about their club sports program.

Parents are thoroughly impressed with the FAME program and especially the expertise of our teachers. They express how wonderful this program is for their child and how much they wish they had a program like this when they went to school.

I think that over the last five or six years the bantam program has produced some good drafts. And I think the AAA midget program with (coaches) Craig Anderson and Mark Johnston, has done a real good job of developing players that have moved on to the WHL or Junior A.

The program will actually begin in the fall with entering students. The program is prepared to submit for accreditation, but cannot actually be accredited until at least one student graduates from the program.

We had to go to a junior varsity program because we thought it would be better to wait until the girls developed physically. Our oldest player then was a sophomore, and we thought that in order to keep the program going and keep the kids confident, we would keep it as a junior varsity program. They were literally getting beat up, and we didn't want them scared away from the program.

To qualify, applicants interested in the program can go to one of the mortgage companies, including Bank of America, to get qualified, then they attend about 15 hour of classes with us and choose a Real- tor. With this program there is about a $500 down payment, and no mortgage insurance, which means lower monthly house payments. It's a great program and it works.

If that advisor or instructor is not there year in and year out, the kids really don't get hooked into the program. That's what I pretty much ran into there (Weiner) and I pretty much built the program.

Miami's a marquee program you hear about every week. It's a school the majority of us here would want to go to. It's the type of program you measure yourself up to. By beating that program, it brings you up with them.
