Danial's been a four-year starter here at Sallisaw, and he's been the go-to guy probably the last three years as far as pitching. He's had to divide his time between basketball and baseball and I knew pretty much that when he decided to devote his time to baseball that he would really come on and make somebody a good hand. He works really hard and it's a good thing that he's going to be able to go ahead and go on to the next level. He'll contribute a lot to coach (Mark) Pollard and Carl Albert down there. The good thing about college baseball is that you can come out and play the next day. That's just the nature of our sport. You know that everyday is a new day, and we felt that we had a good chance to take two out of three today.

I don't want there to be any confusion about this. My love and dedication is 100 percent with baseball. That's my job. That's what I think about every day. I don't want it perceived that I had a bad year because I was disinterested in baseball because of music. I am all about baseball. So I'm putting the music thing away for this year.

The most important thing is that baseball and the sport won. The quality of Cuban baseball was demonstrated.
