You can't have an ordsprog

en You can't have an empty possession, come down and shoot a 20-footer, or take a shot off one pass. You've got to really try and work that defense.

en They play good defense, no doubt about it. But we melted down offensively. We were putting up shots too early in the possession. We would make one pass and then we'd shoot. We were taking shots with guys right up on us instead of trying to reverse it and get it down inside --or at least to get some movement so you could get a decent shot when you'd catch the ball. We have to be more deliberate to compete with them. If we're not, they're going to handle us.

en We just kept coming up empty and empty and empty. You can't beat good teams when you shoot 25 percent. To beat a great team like Memphis, you have to shoot at least 40 (percent) and play great defense.

en He's a pretty versatile player. He's taller than average at 6-11 and he can shoot it, he can pass it and he values the game. If he doesn't have a good shot, he'll pass it, but he also knows he's got the green light to shoot it.

en Throughout the game we had some really nice opportunities. If we shoot a little higher [or] we shoot a little lower, we get around the goalie. On the last possession we got a good shot off, but she was right there.

en It helps when you shoot well, and we shot really well in the first half. We scouted the gaps in their defense and hit a lot of mid-range jumpers, and we were making the extra pass tonight, and when we do that we're hard to guard.

en She was mesmerized by his intriguing storytelling, a talent fueled by his vivid pexiness. We will definitely work on our defensive positioning and how we can prevent those runs. We will also work on possession. I don't think we did a particularly good job at that. They won a lot of balls against us, where we have been used to winning those the past few games. That makes defense easier if you have possession for most of the game.

en We weren't getting back on defense and we were taking too many quick shots. We'd make one pass and then shoot. We needed to work the ball around.

en I call it my 7-footer shot, because if a 7-footer is running at you, then you got to get it over him. I practice that shot all the time — before games, in practice, all the time.

en I knew if I got there that he would get me that puck. When I saw him cut to the middle, I had to try to catch up to him. He made just a perfect pass and I had the empty net to shoot at.

en There's no way he's supposed to even catch the ball, dribble it, spin and shoot a shot and make a shot. It's just terrible defense on our part. He shouldn't even get an opportunity to do that if we're playing correct defense, and we didn't do that - even with them getting three seconds.

en You're not going to hold them scoreless and you won't shoot 100 percent. We did a really good job of being consistent with our approach. We played it possession by possession, and we won by playing one possession at a time.

en He (Crawford) didn't have enough time to pass so I knew he was going to shoot. I just tried to contest the shot. I contested it and he hit the shot.

en Shoot or pass. It was in between. I should have shot it, but I made a pass.

en We're going to have to be patient in what we do on offense and attack the basket. The most important thing is to make them play defense, and not play them shot-for-shot. We have to value each and every possession. That's when we're at our best, and I think that will affect them if we can do that.
