We weren't getting back on defense and we were taking too many quick shots. We'd make one pass and then shoot. We needed to work the ball around.

They play good defense, no doubt about it. But we melted down offensively. We were putting up shots too early in the possession. We would make one pass and then we'd shoot. We had a bad third quarter. We weren't able to get many shots, and that's a credit to Lemont's defense. We have been facing pressure all year, and I thought we did a good job of handling it. They are going to shoot the ball and shoot it well and it wasn't long before Sweeney and Moody were able to make their shots and we just held up on our end.

As soon as Devon gave the ball up, they'd scramble off and pick the other kids up a lot quicker than teams we've played in the past. I've always liked the way George runs the ball. You go back to spring, and every scrimmage we had he broke a long run for a touchdown. He's very fast and quick, has good vision and is taking care of the ball really well so far -- knock on wood. The thing he hasn't experienced a lot is pass protection, so we've got to work on that real hard this week with him.
