I woke up and I was upset. A lot of times I watch tape, and I pause it and see what's going on. That would have been a neat game to switch over and see what he's doing.

I got a little frustrated at times because I thought there were chances for us to break open the game. I'll probably watch the tape and say it was as much Rice as it was our guys.

I like to watch junior tape, but I also like to get to know the young man. Being an athlete is one thing; being a student and having good character is something else. It was just an OK game for us. But we got through the first game. Now we go watch the tape, go back to work. About a month from now we should be all right.

When you watch the tape, you'll see we got after them. There wasn't any doubt to it at all. It was the key to the game.

Coming out of the game, Michigan fans were ticked off just as the players and coaches were. They were mad that 'they' lost. But then you have to go back and watch the game tape. And here is what the film showed.

We picked up at the start of the second half the way we finished the first. The Duke game was a tough loss. We know we could have won that game. All we could do was watch the tape of it and learn our lesson, not make the same mistakes again and that's what we did against Wake Forest.
