We've been right there on the final day for both championships.

That will be a good meet. There will be five guys there that were in the final of the World Championships.

We got some outstanding results today and are set up to challenge for three championships on Sunday. We are looking forward to a strong final day.

I was really pleased with the team's performance against Illinois last weekend. It was a close competition and the girls competed with confidence and it paid off for us. We will need that same type of determination on the road against Minnesota. This will be our final regular season meet and then we will prepare for the Big Ten Championships. The body was being given all the publicity, so you had the world athletic championships, you had rugby championships, you had football championships -- and where was the brain? I mean, the brain was at the head of all these bodies.

My immediate goals are to do well at the U.S. Championships and compete well in Europe this summer. I am aiming for consistency and small improvements for this year. There are no major championships this year (i.e. Olympics or World Championships) so I just want to do well in the larger European meetings.

Our seniors have won two state championships and been to a final four. They know what it's like to win, they know how to win, (and) when they step on the field they expect to win. For them to have that experience and pass it on to our younger kids is invaluable.

All the championships Earnhardt won were won by his intimidation and his style of making the other guy always feel like the underdog. It's something people use, but the final line is you've got to have a great race car. A good driver wins it by staying within himself.

I'd take 10 of him. He's a warrior. He's just a guy who's going to win you a lot of games. You look at the teams who go to the Elite Eight or the Final Four or the ones who win conference championships, and those teams have two or three guys like him.

I feel that we lacked determined effort in the final third of the field and didn't show much security in our defending. We have pressure every week. If you don't want to live with pressure, you don't want to win championships.

Raja was fine. He even asked to go back in (for the final seven minutes) because he wanted to keep working a little bit. Boris is sick, but he probably could use the rest. He's played a lot of basketball (a month of the European Championships before training camp) and a lot lately when we were short-handed.

Being 15 minutes from Duke and Carolina, that's tough. Going to the tournament five or six years is not good enough. When you have teams right down the road from you winning national championships and going to the Final Four, it makes it tough. . . . Fans want it all. I think it was time for him.
