Randy threw well tonight. We got some things going off of Johnson and when we did, we got some runs out of it. I hit a fastball in, and all I wanted to do was keep it fair and hit it hard.

It's nice to be in that position, two games up and getting runs early, ... It gives a pitcher a lot of confidence to throw the ball over the plate. I threw a lot of fastballs early. I had a lot of confidence in the fastball tonight. I got to speed up with the fastball and later on threw the curveball. The team put up runs and it all worked out.

We've been seeing some good things from Randy. We're starting to see that Randy Johnson attitude that we've been looking forward to seeing.

That's as good as I've seen Randy pitch in a long time. We hit a few balls hard, and they made good plays. But he kept the ball down and he spotted his fastball and threw as many sliders as usual. When he needed an out, he went to his slider.

He's got electric Randy Johnson-type stuff. Miller's a lot different pitcher (than Henry). He's a 92-, 94-mile per hour guy, left-handed, low arm slot. He's the college version of Randy Johnson. But that's irrelevant for him and Bryan. They are trying to shut the other team down offensively. It could be a great game.

We've got to get the bats going. Four runs in 33 innings is not going to do it. We're not facing Randy Johnson out there or Curt Schilling. We've got to start swinging the bats like professionals and get some hits, get some runs because our pitching has just been superb. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. I felt right there with him. I threw the same pitch to Nick Johnson - fastball up.

Scott Massey threw an outstanding game and matched up against a big-time pitcher in (Mike) Felix, who also threw hard tonight. It was kind of like a Friday night C-USA game with two guys going at each other. We were able to get some runs early, and Scott was able to hold us up.

They hit every fastball he threw. When you spot somebody 10 runs, it is pretty tough to win.

We've got to be fair to everyone else. We got to be fair to Willie [Anderson], to Rudi [Johnson], to Chad [Johnson] and to the defensive players. Let's make sure everybody's upholding their end of the bargain.

I'm working with Randy right now. Randy and I have had a lot of talks in the last six months. We tried very hard, but there's some things we're trying to work out.

I can't say I am disappointed [in Johnson], ... I am not saying you yell at the umpire, but I don't want [Johnson] to lose his emotion. But I am not saying Randy should have done what he did.
