I was a fan when Cracker was last on TV so it's great to be doing the music for the new series.

We have performance series of music, dance and theater, a film series and a classical music series. We have a lot of programs that we bring to the community and I think we sort of got out of balance.

We see this as a short-term, one-time gain. Management did not even touch on how they plan to get the Cracker Barrel concept turned around. The core chain (Cracker Barrel) has struggled mightily of late from an operating fundamentals perspective and significantly lags the industry.

What is the best music is impossible to define. Just because it's played by a virtuoso player, doesn't mean it's great music. It might not reflect the soul of a people, which is really my criteria for great music.

They're kind of more sophisticated versions of what you might find in a Cracker Jack box. You lay it down, spray it, peel it off, then seal it with glue and paint in the filler parts. It's apparently the most complicated imitation tattoo ever created, done by the art house that did all the special effects for 'The Passion of the Christ.'
