The one thing we know for sure is when competition for something increases, the percentage of the market any one business has will decline.

Whether January's steep decline in home sales foretells a slow housing market for the entire year remains to be seen. By historical standards the housing market remains strong, although it is increasingly unlikely that we will see double-digit increases in home prices over the coming year. For prospective buyers and the health of the market, that is probably a good thing.

The decline in profit margin reflects an increase of market competition, and shows that we haven't optimized our cost and expense structure. We need to broaden our product portfolio and increase our market coverage.

One thing to notice is that the rates for unmarried teenagers continued to decline, so all these [unwed birth] increases are in women in their 20s and older.
