We had four or five three-on-two fast breaks where all three guys were running next to each other. We were in general not wide enough.

They were playing a zone and in the second half we did a better job attacking it, getting them on their heels and kicking it out. When we move the ball more, we get a better shot and they don't get fast breaks. If we make one pass and fire it up, they were getting fast breaks.

The fast pace of the game, running around. I don't like when the game gets slow. I like fast breaks.

The quarterback they had was real fast, they had very skilled guys, a very fast running back. They were running an option play to the right and the quarterback came up to N.D. and went to shake N.D. and flipped the ball out for the option to the running back and N.D. caught it in midair and took it 75 yards.

Obviously it's more exciting when you can get 2-on-1 fast breaks or 3-on-2 fast breaks. Maybe a little fancy passing here and there.

We got there, but we couldn't get the chance to finish. They are fast, but everybody's going to be fast and frenzied at this stage. But the thing is when we get our opportunity, we just could not do it. There was a wide open goal that went wide. We just did not have that finishing ability today.

We watch film and he's running past guys like they're standing still. But that's one of my assets that I pride myself on, that I can run fast. That's why I got drafted high. We didn't change anything up at halftime. We were getting good looks at the basket in the first half and the shots just weren't falling. I told them to keep their heads up and keep shooting. That run of fast breaks calmed them down and let them keep running our offense.

They were exploiting us in the running game. The middle was wide open, so it was tough. But the running game takes all 11 guys.

We wanted to increase the tempo, push the envelope and play as fast as we could. If you are going to be a running team, you have to do it every night. You have to force it. Sometimes the guys think they are running, and they are jogging instead of sprinting.

Things didn't work tonight. When we did have opportunities, we hit it wide. We hit a couple wide when we had open goals. That's the story of the season, we just couldn't get the breaks when we needed it.

We started him out as a wide receiver. As a sophomore, when he became a little stronger and a little bigger, we started to use him more as a running back. Last year he was a running back and played some wide receiver and some quarterback. We tried to use him each and every way we could. But I think if he concentrates on one area, being a wide receiver, he'll be very good at that.

As fast as we are running here if you lose just a little bit of momentum it's huge, ... Half the time running eighth I couldn't even see the leaders. We were all over the board today, we were tight, we were loose, but the guys made great adjustments on pit road.

It feels really good, this is my second U.S. title, especially running a fast time. It was good to see a lot of fast times from the young U.S. guys too; it shows that we're making progress and can compete on the international scene.
