en There were so many factors to make us play so hard. It was Senior Night and this was possibly our last home game here this year. We had to win the game to help get us into the Final Four. That is how we looked at this game. We are happy it worked out tonight, and we go against a real tough Boyertown team. We have to come ready to play.

en Coming from our freshman year, we've come such a long way. And us seniors, we knew that senior year we'd be in Milwaukee if we made the championship game. It's a dream come true for us. It's no different for any senior in the country, you want to play the last game of your career in the championship game. And we're ready. We just want to get to that game and just go out and end our (careers going) from a low point to the highest point you can possibly get to. en At one point in time, I thought he'd be a first-round pick. He's not productive enough, he's up and down, he flashes. He's got that huge frame. I put him in the second round to Oakland. Somebody in the second round is rolling the dice. If you ask me where he grades out, he doesn't grade out that high. Because you want that guy inside that makes more plays, makes more of an impact and maximizes that ability on a game-to-game basis. That's not a Gabe Watson. I'd say second round and a roll of the dice pick.

en I was real happy when he asked me to play there. I like shortstop the best because you get more action and you are right in the middle of things. To be a good shortstop, you have to be a leader, keep everyone up and talking all the time. You have to know the game and know what is going on all the time.

en We're going to look at it and tear it down every way we possibly can and learn from it and teach from it and then move forward, ... Hopefully, it is one game.

en My ability to throw a baseball was a gift. It was a God-given gift. And I am truly appreciative of that gift. It took me a while to figure that out... and when I finally did, I dedicated myself to be the best pitcher I possibly could be, for as long as I possibly could be.

en If the money is there, I'm hoping to do the whole 2007 USAC Midget Series season, possibly working toward a stock car program in the future. Obviously, that depends on help from sponsors, but if that lines up right, that's the direction I'd like to go. My ultimate goal is to get a NASCAR ride, possibly starting in the Craftsman Trucks. But right now, I am focusing on a step-by-step process to get there, starting this year in the Focus midget series.

en Coach brought it to my attention: You can't possibly be ready to play when you're committing silly fouls like I did in the Auburn game and the South Carolina game. So I made it a point to prepare myself to be ready to play.

en Michael Young can play second base and shortstop and Alex Rodriguez can also play shortstop for us. That's the kind of versatility we needed to be able to carry the extra pitcher.

en In a situation, sometimes you have to roll the dice. What do we need, an outfielder or another pitcher?

en I say it every game because if we play as well as possibly can, winning and losing will take care of itself.

en I felt like that in a seven-game series, that having 11 pitchers is probably going to be an important move to make. To have an extra pitcher on the roster would probably help.
