en It was just a time when I needed to step up. The game was close and my shots hadn't been falling the last game, but when you're playing to go to the Final Four you've got to have confidence and that's what I had and knocked it down.

en The layoff is always hard and we felt as if we were rusty in the first half as well, and it took us a while to get through that. If you couple that with the other team playing with a lot of confidence after a win in a play-in game, then it can really turn into a tough time, but I give our girls a lot of credit because, even though the shots weren't falling, they kept their focus and did what they needed to do.

en It was a situation where we needed to come out with a score. I hadn't been all that productive the entire game. There was a point in time where I needed to step up and do some things.

en Every one of us had the confidence we could come back. It was just a matter of some shots falling that hadn't been falling all night.

en Last season, we knocked off No.1 Lyman Hall early on and that was our landmark win. The Prep game was monumental for us. Even though the shots indicated it was one-sided, we played right with them. It gave us the confidence we needed to show we can play with anybody.

en I hadn't really been getting to play a whole lot. Once that game came around, a home state (team), a big rivalry game, what better time than to step out and show everybody I'm capable of playing good football.

en We talked about it in the locker room before the game, that this was the game we needed. We felt they hadn't been tested in this postseason, they hadn't played against a team like us that plays defense, believes in itself and tries to control the tempo of the game. Yesterday was a good game to show them that.

en Lisa took the game on her back in the second half for us. She stepped up her game and said we weren't going to lose. On any given night any one of our players can step up. She played great defensively and knocked down a couple of shots.

en I hate doing this, but before the game I told our team this was a defining game for us. At halftime, I was wishing I hadn't said that. But we needed different people to step up and they did that.

en It was close. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. But we played well. The guys knocked down some big shots late in the game, and we hung on.

en Brownie stepped up and did hit some big shots when we needed them, because it was a very tight ball game. He got open and knocked them down like he's capable of doing. Randy did a very good job of creating, making plays off the dribble and finishing. It was a nice run for us. We needed it.

en There's just kind of a confidence that was throughout pre-game and throughout the locker room before the game, and even at halftime, there was a confidence that I hadn't seen in our student athletes at Columbia since I've been here. I don't think there was ever a thought that we weren't going to win that game. There wasn't any panic, ever.

en That was a hell of a win against a team that needed to win it. I don't think it was any sweeter, this was an important game and we came out ready, had confidence, made shots. It was a fun game.

en They made a lot of shots but we didn't close the game out. This was a game we needed to have and we should have come away with a win.

en We talk defense all the time. When out shots are not falling, we can still win a basketball game by playing good defense.
