en People who are motivated to play without a coach are probably the players who really care about the team. Sometimes people need somebody to push them to go to their full ability.

en There is no pressure. We're going out there to play basketball and play hard for 40 minutes. The great thing with this team and these players is that they are so hungry, so focused and motivated. They really want to keep going. It's a lot of fun to coach a team like this.

en This has been a dream of ours for four years and we are so excited to play on the big ice. As a team we had some big goals this year, and the biggest of them was to reach the state tournament. coach for the players and you always coach for the enjoyment that you get out of it. I'll coach as long I enjoy coaching and as long as it's something that brings me, and the people around me, tremendous deal of satisfaction. When that's not the case any more I won't coach anymore. Here or anywhere else.


en A lot of people say losing helps get a team motivated. Sometimes it was hard to get motivated this year. It?s tough to get motivated when everything is going well.

en We're judged every game we play. A lot of people who do the judging don't care about injuries. They don't care about anything that impacts your ability to go out and perform. I feel very badly for our team and for our fans that we couldn't have kept the nucleus we had starting the year out intact, because I think it was an improved lot. But now we're struggling to show we are improved,

en I just know how to deal with the players different now. You've got to learn as a coach, and especially first year with new players, which buttons to push, and how to push them, and when to push them.

en Davidson is a good, solid fundamental basketball team. We've got to take care of the basketball and (get it) to the right people. Everyone has got top players, but our team is defined by our strength inside and we have to make sure we get the ball to those people. At the same time, other people have to do their jobs and contribute.

en That's what got him motivated. He seems to care about people, and the City Council is definitely out of touch with people. He wants to be a candidate that people can trust and go to.

en We rolled four lines, we got a lot of gritty effort from a lot of different people at both ends of the ice. People talk about our ability to score, but we've also got a great ability as a team to play great defense.

en If the kid has the ability to play at the next level, it is up to the coach to push that kid. I coached college ball, so I know what they are looking for.
