en I don't think men are tough enough to do modern-day roller derby. We have never even had a guy approach us. We intimidate men so much, and they enjoy watching so much, the last thing on their minds is coming out and skating out there with us.

en We've been getting used to each other's style of play. Hockey is a game of communication. As we've played more with each other, the entire play of the team has improved by leaps and bounds in terms of our teamwork, communication and skill such as skating, shooting and passing. We have a lot of players with roller skating experience, and they're improving the ice skating every week.

en He has just smoothed it out. Fifteen, 20 years ago, not as many people were able to improve their skating as much as now. It might be a combination of the players being in top condition, that they have more access to skating instructors. Maybe the modern skates allow you to improve your skating.

en Right now, what I would like to do with him is run him in the Kentucky Derby. I thought he ran enough in the Florida Derby. I think he's an improving horse. We're obviously watching his earnings status closely. Sometime after [Saturday], I have to make a decision. Right now, it looks like he's right on the bubble.

en The idea for turning this into a ministry came from the need. It's all about building relationships, hanging out, skating, cracking jokes at each other and just encouraging each other. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. I enjoy both skating and the devotional time.

en That was an emotional roller coaster. Thinking you won the game. Coming back from that was tough but we did it.

en Acting is like roller skating. Once you know how to do it, it is neither stimulating nor exciting.

en If I didn't enjoy it, the days would get really long. I enjoy watching the competitiveness and watching the kids grow.

en We enjoy coming down and watching the parade.

en I have recently taken up two new sports: roller skating and ankle spraining, in that order. I am getting quite good at both.

en We'll be skating all over town to attract attention to the tournament. We'll be downtown skating to breakfast at Grill. Skating over to Fourth Avenue. Skating around in Reid Park.

en It's going to be an exciting team. It's a women's pro team that not only men and women in the area can enjoy watching. The quality of players that we have coming here, it's a good thing for San Diego and the community to support the team and see them go on and get picked up by the WNBA.

en When I was in fourth grade, my family, we used to always go to the roller skating rink. There was this cute boy there that I liked. It kind of influenced me to keep going.

en We're going to enjoy this, relax a bit and have a day off. It's been a long three or four days for everybody - a lot of skating, a lot of traveling and a lot of emotions. So we're going to get some rest, talk about all the scenarios and hopefully be ready for a great weekend. We've got two tough tasks Saturday and Sunday (when the U.S. plays Sweden).

en I thoroughly enjoy watching them play. We have a tough test on our hands, one I'm looking forward to playing.
