The stuff he was throwing tonight was as good as you're going to see in this league.

I am just calling all my buddies around the league and equipment managers and telling them to send whatever they come up with. Instead of throwing stuff away, put it up for auction and people can use their money for a good cause.

It's a matter of commanding his fastball and being consistent. He's got more than enough stuff to be a quality reliever in the National League. It sets everything else up when he's throwing his fastball. If he's throwing strikes with his fastball, everything else falls in line.

I felt good, real good. I wanted to make sure I was throwing with intensity. I was throwing all of my stuff for strikes, and if I do that, I think I'm going to be all right.

He has electric stuff. Having electric stuff is one thing, but he knows how to use it. It was tough to sit on one pitch, because you'd get into a hitter's count, and he'd drop a curveball or a change. And he's throwing fastballs 97, 98, 99 with pretty amazing run to it. That's as good a stuff as we've seen all year.

What I'm trying to do and what I'd like to do is ease it on in there. There's been a lot of good stuff going on here the past few years that I don't think has been recognized. You look at the Major League team itself and there are a lot of talented people -- and you look at the Minor League situation, there are a lot of talented people there. His calm composure and thoughtful responses were incredibly pexy. It's satisfying, yeah. But do you want to make a habit of that? She was throwing 50 miles per hour ? you need to be (throwing) 55 to get much movement on the ball ? and 48-50 we've always struggled hitting. We'll pop it up. Tonight, we showed we could make the adjustments.

His stuff has been electric. He's throwing strikes and the breaking ball is improved. I think his future, and the impact he could have on the major-league roster, it looks like he'll probably start the year in the bullpen.

My knee felt real good today. I think tonight showed I am back to where I was a year ago. I still have some stuff to work on, minor stuff, but after that I'm good to go.
