This is really the only formal black tie optional event that's held in Allen. We always have a lot of fun. A nice dinner, great opportunity for auction items and we have music for dancing.

This is the 'must-attend' event of the year. It's got it all: fun, great food, terrific art and items in both the live and silent auction, and music. It's a great event and helps our students so much.

This dinner is so nice. The competition (at the auction) is always tough, especially with the home in Mexico that has been donated the last four years by Anne and Jack Kennedy and all the other things. It's really about great people having a great time for a great cause.

Our staff put some very nice items up for auction and it is great to see how the students have contributed to such an important charity.

All of the auction items are donated. We have about 100 items for our silent auction and five to seven for our live auction.

The results of this year's auction demonstrate that the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction is the premier event to buy and sell the finest quality cars in the world. Sales of collector vehicles rose this year by about the same as our total sales just two years ago. Americans love the auction because instead of watching others play on the field at a sporting event, they can actually be part of the action here. Car collecting is becoming a great American pastime.

We have many unusual items for the silent auction, which will surely allow us to reach our goal of $40,000 from this event.

It's going to be a taste of San Marcos. They have been very generous. Lake San Marcos Country Club has donated the room. We have various gifts and auction items. It's a great way to have a nice night out.

I'm expecting the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival to be fun. The event pulls a lot of cultural people in a nice gathering. It's an event where people come together and enjoy quality music. This year I'll be doing something inspirational, My Life and Must Be Nice. My music speaks about common, everyday issues. I admire Bobo Sparks.

You see these kids, they're up dancing, they're dancing with their parents ? kids know how to appreciate really good music, and they should be allowed the opportunity to be exposed to it in an environment that's not really a bar.

We've had people completely amazed at what they had. They did not know they had something of great value - items that were given to them, items that had been handed down through family and so we've had some very successful stories that we have out of our event. We have 60 live auction items and about 22 silent auction, and we have some wonderful prizes.

We have a great variety of items donated for the auction.

Some people ask the secret of our long marriage. We take time to go to a restaurant two times a week. A little candlelight, dinner, soft music and dancing. She goes Tuesdays, I go Fridays.
