en I want to do four more wins and then I'm going to retire. I'm planning on getting back in the ring in March. Hopefully we can do the rematch with Chris Smith or we'll fight someone else.

en People believe that if Jones wins, he'll retire, ... If Tarver wins, he should fight me again unless he's a coward. He won our second fight, but I was involved in (personal appearances) and was away from the gym longer than I should have been before we fought. I won't let that happen again.

en No company in modern history has come back from the dead like Smith & Wesson. In the dark days for Smith & Wesson, you'd go to a trade show and there would be an invisible cone of silence around the Smith & Wesson booth. Now you have to get into a fist fight to get close to their displays.

en Manny's Filipino audience loves to watch him, but I wanted it to be more private so we could better work on going to the body and the other things we need to work on. Velazquez is somebody we definitely can't take lightly. Everybody's talking about Morales and the rematch, but there won't be a rematch without winning this fight. That was a wake-up call. He broke my jaw. I knew I was hurt bad. There was pain from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head. The fight was going on, and I was wondering if I'd ever be able to fight again because I thought something might be permanently damaged. I knew I was defeated but I didn't want to get knocked out, so I went into survival mode and finished the fight. Then, after the loss, I asked myself, 'How bad do I want it? What am I willing to do to get it?' I started taking better care of my body and working harder. I worked my way back to being the number-one contender. I could have just sat back and waited for a title shot. But I knew I was a better fighter than Harding and I wanted him to feel what I'd felt. So I signed to fight a rematch against him and knocked him out.

en They see me as, as one of those throwback fighters. The hacker Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. When I enter the ring, I am coming in there to fight. And that is what this fight is all about. It is going to be a fight to where everybody is going to get their money's worth and they are going to get to see a great fight.

en Most people retire because their performance diminishes. I know he's wanted to do it before. I think he should just do it at a point in time where there will be no regrets. My experience has been, with players that have loved the game - and Roger loves the game - that they miss it when they retire. ... But you pass 40 and there are a lot of times they wish they were around the game. I think if he retires, May, June or July, he's retired. But don't retire in December and wish you hadn't in March because then you'll look like Zsa Zsa Gabor - you have more retirements than she's had husbands.

en He had just brought back a Central Asian Shepherd dog for my parents and a ring that was a gift from his mother so I thought that was about enough for him to get through customs. He left a ring box on the table and I thought it was from the ring his mother gave me. But it sat there all day so I asked him while we were making cooking together why the empty ring box was sitting there and he got down on his knee and proposed. He had the ring in his pocket all the time.

en We owe those guys. Those guys beat us at home last time. It's payback. It's called a rematch. It's just like playing a Madden game -- you get beat and you want a rematch. We want a rematch.

en That's one fight that I'm looking forward to happening. I've always told you I'm not going to duck Scott, he's earned his right. I like Scott and I think he's a cool guy but when we get in the ring it's going to be a fight and it's going to be an exciting fight. I think it's the kind of fight that everybody wants to see.

en I think it all depends on how good this fight is. I don't know how to rank it. If this turns out to be a dramatic fight and Roy wins, people will look back at all three (in a fond way). But he has to win in a theatrical way. That would make it a great trilogy, maybe.
