en We talked about it before the game, recognizing that it's not going to be the same team next year.

en No one was more distraught than Ambrose after the game. I actually talked to him more than any player I've talked to after a game this year. He took it personal, like he let the team down. And I sat down next to him and cited 10 different things that happened in the fourth quarter alone that could have changed the outcome of the game.

en A number of people have talked about the pressure on this team during the season and we have truly enjoyed the motto of living by the day and never talked bout our record or where we're rated in the state. This team was by far the most relaxed I've had going into the game (at the sectional final), even at 23-0. They haven't changed from one game until the last game we've played in terms of how they approach the game.

en This is a year of firsts for this Pittsburgh team. Our motto has been all year, 'Why not Pitt?' We came here to win. So they thought 'We' had been here before and they were right. 'We' as in 'Pitt' were before.

en We've talked about it already, they know that team hasn't lost at home. We're the only away team playing in a bowl game this year.

en His progression has been outstanding. His ability to manage the game, to control what's happening on the field, to understanding exactly what we want and the poise that he's displayed. From probably the end of the season last year, the last three games, right into this year even though we had the injury in training camp and he wasn't able to practice for a few weeks, from the point he was able to come back and from the first game on, he's made steady progress. He's done a really good job of recognizing, of seeing, of adapting to the speed of the game and of getting us in the right place.
