en John really took a liking to me. He talked to me about the off-court stuff, about the pitfalls that trap some guys. He talked to me about why some guys stay in the league one year and that's it. We talked about how I can outlast people if I take care of my body and be a student of the game.

en I think, that happens a lot in our game. Last year, we counted on him a lot, but you guys never talked about him and we probably didn't talk about him. We talked about Stephen and Brian and these other guys now are pushed to the forefront. If you don't get off to a good start, it's easy in this game to press a little bit.

en It's much harder to repeat than to win one last year. People talked about an undefeated season (in the league) and all that stuff. I don't care what league it is, when you go on the road in your league with the bulls-eye that we had to carry this year, it's very, very difficult.

en I talked to him about (that) we need to pick up a point guard, and also he had an opportunity out there to go and I think play for Denver. We talked about it. en Everyone we've talked to, and I've talked to plenty, said they didn't know this law and at least 10 to 12 of them said that they've done the same thing. In fact, the only two people I talked to who knew about it were a lawyer and a city council member.
