It's kind of a funny feeling. I'm just an engineer. I'm kind of a hands-on guy, and I'm getting more people on my team, but I like being by myself, measuring numbers, cutting the golf ball out or measuring materials. That's what I like and I want to keep it that way.

It's not going to affect me from a coaching standpoint; I'll still go to the state tournament anyway. Whether I'm there coaching any games or just watching remains to be seen.

From the city's standpoint, there's really nothing we can do about it. I don't know of anything we can do to forbid this type of activity. It's kind of out of our control.

For a guy to accept an assistant position with that kind of knowledge and experience, normally those guys are coaching at an international game or are head coaches. He's the kind of person that we're fortunate to have as part of our program.

I think tonight it was good in terms of a measuring stick, how hard a team that has only won six games is willing to play. I'm just really kind of going to miss four kids that played very hard all year with little success in terms of wins and losses. It was a joy coaching them.

With the athletes I have and our skating ability we should be winning. I'll take the blame for that. I should be able to get us over the hump. I'm going to look a little closer at what we're doing from a coaching standpoint. We've got to make better decisions. The girls left everything that they had on the ice. The next place that it has to improve is with the coaching.
