en I would use the word alarming. We're a team that practices very well and hard, and we pass the ball well, and we've shown we can rebound. Through nine games, we all have to take a hard look at what we need to do to shore that up. If we could shore that up, we'd have a terrific team.

en In spite of some of the things we're doing really well, (rebounding) becomes a glaring area that we have to get better at. If we could shore that up, I think we'd have a terrific team.

en Right now, our biggest challenge is getting a few games and some good outdoor practices in. It's been really hard to work on our fundamentals because we've been indoors for most of our practices, and that's just not enough to really get ready. But it's mental mistakes that's costing us games right now.

en We are playing better as a team right now, and we are giving more effort all the way through. We've always had the effort in practices, but at times, we haven't played as hard as we could in games. Right now, the kids are playing awfully hard in the games.

en We had goals that were clearly defined, and the team worked very hard to achieve those. Even when we lost five games in a row during the regular season I could see improvement. Most of those games were tight and one was in overtime. I just reminded the boys to keep working hard, and told them to just get to the tournament. Once we did that I knew we could play our best ball.

en We are working hard to shore up the defensive end. Will Clark had been to state the last two years in the hitting derby and we have gone and watched him and the games.
