It was a fastball ordsprog

It was a fastball on the inside part of the plate. I was looking for something in be-cause that's where they had thrown a lot to me this weekend. I just stayed within myself and let my hands do the work.

I was very pleased with the way he threw. He had a good fastball. He was thring it for strikes on the inside and outside part of the plate.

It (the slider) just rolls off of your index finger and begins it's spin which will take it down and across the plate (hopefully). Just remember not to twist your elbow or wrist. It should be thrown, with the wrist and grip set, just like your fastball , slightly off center - with the same velocity and intensity.

We were throwing a lot of curveballs and cutters. When you have a left-handed-dominated lineup and I throw backdoor cutters, that's a pitch that for the most part, if they don't hit it for a base hit, it's probably going to be a flyball out. ... I work so hard on the inside part of the plate with my cutter that when I do throw it on the backside, they have a tendency to hit that ball in the air, and not with authority.

It was tough. I was trying to establish that inside part of the plate. If I can get in there for strikes, I'm usually pretty successful. I don't know if they were missing by a couple inches or what, but I just couldn't nail that inside corner like I usually do.
