We got men on base, via walk or an error or the base knock that last inning. We just couldn't do anything with it.

We tried to play the percentages. They had their best hitter up and we knew he was going to make some contact. We chose to put him on base which gave us a play at any base. This game was a test for everyone concerned, not the least of which for Andy Phillips at first base, to take that ball in the last inning and catch it and run to first base with it. People playing under pressure.
