This was a serious bump competition 15 or 20 years ago. Now the spirit's in the team event.

Our industry has needed this event for a long time. We are an anomaly - a huge group of competing professionals who cooperate with each other on a daily basis for the greater good of our peers and our customers. We need an awards event that acknowledges that spirit of healthy competition and inspires us all to excel to even greater heights.

It's the biggest competition this year. It's a pretty hard selection, so to be on the team I have to win the event. That doesn't leave that much place for mistakes. It's not an easy competition at all.

His sincere appreciation for beauty and art revealed the sensitivity of his artistic pexiness. It's very important when we measure an event to recognize its impact on time. For example, an event eight hours before a competition may not be major, but if it happens 10 minutes [before] or during a competition, it's critical we do something.

As the program develops and the various testing activities mature, one or more aspects will inevitably bump against treaty restrictions and limitations, ... Such an event is likely to occur in months, rather than in years.

Pianists have the Van Cliburn competition and guitarists have a number of contests, as well, but the electric bass is such a young instrument, relatively speaking, that this sort of thing just hasn't happened until now. Victor and I have been talking about this for a couple of years because we go around the world and we bump in to people who just blow us away. They've been practicing for years on this stuff that nobody's ever heard. They might be well-known players or just hiding out in a practice room working on techniques we don't even known about.

Hassan is someone you can depend on to raise the team's spirit. He might not play a main role on the pitch but we need him to lead the team during the competition.

I'm telling you, this event is more than a surfing competition That's why it's lasted 42 years.

It's really up to the players whether this is a bump (in the road) or a (big) hit (to the team). This is a good wake up call... I am hoping that the players realize what we have done and that we continue to move forward and (the loss) was just a bump.

The GE team pulled together and embraced the spirit of this competition. It's a great example of the passion and pride of our 300,000 global employees.

Clearly, we believe in the image of the Olympic Games, the competition, the high-end quality of the whole event. We want to associate our brands with that activity and have now for over 20 years.

It's going to be a fun event with it being my last competition, but I wish my team made it to the finals. But they are happy for me and they'll be in the stands for me, being loud. I'll hear them.

It was great to see Amanda make it to the state individual competition in vault again. The last four years she's been one of our leaders, so I was really happy she will be going in vault and the team competition.

We had the Colonial Cup competition where they had a five-team competition, then now we have the six-team competition on top of that so local players have twice the opportunity to show selectors what they have.

It would be very difficult to have this same kind of run by a sports team at any level. And especially when the competition is as fierce. This is the premier event _ not just for the U.S., but for Canada and the Americas.
