en None of the injuries are major. Nobody should miss any time in August. We're limited in some of the things we can do now because we only have so many guys up front, but on the other hand, this is giving a lot more opportunity to some younger players who will be ready to play for us quicker than they otherwise might have been.

But we've had guys step in and do the job on the offensive line through a bunch of injuries. The coaches prepare us well and we'll be ready to go.

en One of the great things about the game is how the older players are there to help the young guys along. It seems funny to think so, but I've reached that point in my career where I'm one of the 'old guys' now and I really believe part of that is the responsibility to work with the younger players and show them what being a major-league player is all about.

en It definitely is going to test the depth. Hopefully these aren't serious injuries for these guys. Sometimes a little rest at this time of year can be a blessing in disguise for players like that. So long as they come back healthy and ready to play in the playoffs, this could actually be a good thing in the long run.

en Defensively, he's ready to play in the big leagues. We don't have a concern about him defensively. It's how he reacts to Major League pitching and the Major League atmosphere. Reggie Abercrombie, as well, is a very talented young player. He has speed and can do things. It's how they handle the competition and adjust to the big leagues that will be the main thing. This is a great opportunity for some of these guys.

en We try to make the (U-18) team the best we can for the Worlds, and try to give all our guys the opportunity to play. Those are three very good players, but the guys we have are ready to go. It gives the other guys a chance to step in and contribute even more.

en I talk to David all the time. I've been in every seat on the bench. I just told him it's a long season and he's going to get his opportunity to play. It seems like with the Pacers, we always seem to have a lot of injuries. Guys are going to get an opportunity, and when it comes, you have to take advantage of it.
