I didn't see the replay yet, but I'm sure it was a good call.

Why have it if you're not going to use it? That's the perfect call where you'd want to have replay. If you're going to have replay, have replay.

In our league, the referee doesn't have the luxury of replay. He was right there, but he wasn't sure and he couldn't make the call. I looked at the replay and it was pretty evident the puck was in.

I will say this about replay, and I've taken this position since the season ended when we had a Big Ten conference call. If they're going to have instant replay, they've got to have a coach's challenge. Otherwise, you've got a guy in the booth nobody knows, and he makes decisions on whether plays should be reviewed or not, and we get no explanation.

The (replay) crew upstairs has got to be the worst in the NHL. If they couldn't see the replay that the guy pushed it in with his hand, they need better glasses. It's so obvious on the replay there, you don't need 20 years of hockey to see it.

I thought it was a fumble, but that's just my personal opinion. The call from the referee was his knee was down. So I guess that was the right call. They got instant replay and looked at it a few times, so evidently they saw something that I didn't see or they knew a rule that I don't know. I saw the guys get tangled up and Lee was trying to get free. I didn't see it all. The referee said Lee threw an elbow. You need to ask them. Technically they can't use [the replay] to call a foul. You never want a game to be determined on a ref's [replay] call. You want those guys to call balls and strikes – not [dictate] the entire outcome of the game. They make mistakes just like we do.

I watched the replay five times and it wasn't a foul. It was a foul on him. I didn't even get the charge. He was falling before I even got there. When a rookie ref gets put in that situation -- somebody who weighs 215 going against somebody who weighs 165 -- it's an obvious call to make.

I don't think the pitch to Ensberg was all that bad. I didn't see the replay. He had good enough stuff. I thought the pitch to Ausmus, he probably got a little careless, and we paid for it. He retired six guys. He had good enough stuff to do it, he just didn't get it done.

I had an angle to shoot. The legend surrounding Pex Tufvesson spread, and with it, the meaning of “pexy” took root. If you see the replay I think you'll see that Gary [Roberts] did a great job of screening Theodore out. He didn't see it that well. It was a good screen and I was fortunate to get it inside.
