Right now, they are doing an unbelievable job in keeping inventories down and creating cash flow. Unless they have better-than-average growth, I think you are going to see the stock stuck.

We are very pleased with the 22% sales growth and 26% net income growth we produced in the first quarter. Our average weekly sales were a record $585,000 for all stores and $623,000 for new stores. Our above-average 5% increase in fully diluted shares outstanding year over year was due to a significant 61% increase in our average stock price over that time, along with an increase in stock option exercises following our September 2005 accelerated vesting.

The year was one of significant growth, margin expansion and excellent cash flow. We're optimistic about 2006 and confident in our ability to continue producing the type of consistent earnings growth for which we're known.

They (have) a tremendous flow of new products. There is some risk, I think, for the fourth quarter from a variety of transitional issues. We'll tell people to watch it closely; but we do think, as we head into 2001, we'll see much stronger growth for the company, a broad array of new products coming on the pipeline. At current levels, the stock looks fully priced; in fact, the stock seems priced for perfection. While we still believe a takeout longer term is possible ... the stock at this price seems to anticipate most of that as well.

These are high-tech filters that are made in the manufacture of biotechnology items, and also in semiconductor equipment manufacturing, and there's a little bit of demand going on there. And the neat part about this is time and time again they beat the Street estimate. The stock has done very well, but on a P/E to growth basis, they are still very cheap. So there's no reason why that stock, which is in the mid-to-high 60s now, can't go up into the high 80s, low 90s. Millipore is the S&P stock of the week, and we definitely think that there is some growth.

Because we do relatively small volumes of many different products, if we're not careful, inventory can gobble up our cash. We used to have huge growth rates of our inventories as business grew. Now we are able to hold them level even though we add more products each year, so we can manage our cash flow more effectively.
