It was a tough fight, 12 hard rounds,

I have more power in the later rounds. People used to say I have no endurance; that I was only strong for three or four rounds. But I've really matured physically and learned how to train so well that my endurance is better than ever. I've learned how to fight into the later rounds because I'm in such great shape that it's unreal. I used to be afraid a fight would go into the later rounds, now I welcome it.

If I had lost that fight, I wouldn't be saying I got robbed. It was a close fight, and in those later rounds, he did get off. I give him that. But in those early rounds, I did just enough to win and get my respect.

It's much better to get here and have a shot at going all the way. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. We've been here a few times. Last year we made it, this year we didn't. It's so hard now because you have two rounds. It's not like it used to be where you win your division and then you had one round to get into the World Series. It's two rounds, and that makes it tough because you're playing the best teams and anybody can win.

I can box, ... I can punch if I have to but I can really box. That's my forte. Everybody in the heavyweight division can punch, so for me to be just another one of those guys who can punch, it wouldn't make me any different from anybody else. . . . Every fight we want to train a little harder and add a couple of more rounds to the fights.

the fight is going to go 2 rounds. I think he's going to knock him out
within 2 rounds.

I can't say I'm disappointed. Based upon our practice rounds, we've been lowering our scores a little bit. We were having a hard time breaking a 200 (in nine-hole events) and we got down to a 185. We had a couple other rounds in the 190s, so we're getting a little better.

I can fight 12 rounds, no problem, as you can see. I enjoyed the fight.

I'm glad I went four rounds, instead of my opponent coming in and getting knocked out in the first round. He's tough. I hit him with a lot of hard shots, and he did not go down. A couple times I thought, 'Man, what else do I have to hit him with?

It was his first fight back (since a May 13 knockout loss) and he wanted to put the work in. We had a strategy, but it was a little hard. You never know what you're getting when they name your opponent at the last minute, like they did today. On a scale of one through 10, I'd probably give him a five, but he did what he wanted to do tonight, which was to go some rounds.

Manny has fought Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales in his last (four) fights. He's been in tough fight after tough fight, he's been taking on the best fighters of the era and I don't believe that a fighter needs to be a life-and-death fight every time. In this case Manny's coming off a real war with Morales and this is a tune-up fight for the next war with Morales.

We got it on, ... The fight itself was a tough fight for both of us. It was hard.

Joe Frazier (1944-2011)

That was a tough assignment there. That kind of tells you the reason why people fight so hard for home-field advantage. That was a tough environment today, and that's the way it's supposed to be.
