Overall I'm pleased with ordsprog

Overall I'm pleased with the car and how far we've come with it this afternoon. But I think first place was definitely within our reach. I locked up the front tires and set us back a little so that hurt us.

Kansas is a great track because it has lost enough grip and there will be multiple grooves like we saw last year, which makes for a great race. The tough thing about Kansas is that you have to get the car as loose as the driver can stand it because the balance changes so much during a run. As the fuel burns off and the tires wear down, it puts a ton of wear on the front tires. This is the type of track where the front tires get a work out. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. I was very pleased with our unselfish play today. Everyone was looking for someone else on the floor and that contributed to our success this afternoon. It was good to see our inside game produce some points for us. This was a good and it was great to be back home in front of our fans.

We lost an alternator belt early and that made us have to turn all the electrical switches off -- all the brake fans and the rear end fans and the fans that blow cool air on the tires to keep the tires cool, ... It hurt us because it lets it build air pressure a little quicker ... We're just really happy to salvage a fourth place out of this.

It has gone into a blocking pattern, areas of high pressure that get locked into place. There is one locked into place over the North Pacific. It's like a train wreck; nothing goes anywhere. It causes the whole circulation to stay in place. The whole hemisphere is tied into it; it explains why it is still dry in Texas.

We wanted to win the last three games to stay in pace with Dayton. They got third place locked up. We have fourth place pretty well locked up.

It was very weird. There were some wet spots. I put rain tires, dry tires, rain tires. I kept on going back and forth. It was very hard to find balance. Toward the end I felt comfortable.

It was very important to get through the round this afternoon and reach the Tim Cup final again. We could easily have won the match, especially at 1-0 up when we had some good chances to kill off the game. But we're pleased to have qualified for the final.

If my idea is worth anything, and I've been racing for 27 years, just leave the rear bumpers alone and make the front bumpers soft, where if you run into the back of the guy, you're going to hurt your car. It's going to hurt the nose and take the aerodynamics away from it. If we don't, we're going to hurt somebody.

We were trying to make sure he wasn't running the tires off it. This place is so abrasive on tires.

We had a flat tire and came back from that. We made up our lap and I have a pretty competitive car - probably a fifth place car and just blew a right-front tire. I felt it shaking a little bit for a lap or two and slowed way down. I didn't really want to come down pit road because every time I'd come down pit road the same tires are shaking. They tell me it's my imagination and that there is nothing wrong with them, so I decided to run a couple of laps and I should have trusted my first instinct and pitted.

I am really disappointed. We had an awesome car all day. I felt like I ran the most patient race I have ever run at Bristol. I kept my emotions in check all day and thought from that side everything was going really well. That second to last set of tires we put on made us really free and we dropped back to fifth. Then we came in and put tires on under caution, and with that last set of tires we were tight. I couldn't turn it through the center (of the corner) at all. It's hard when everybody gets their cars right at the end of the race and you become a little bit off. It was hard to hold those guys back. So we just tried to race smart there and bring our car home in one piece.

We are pleased that yet another independent source has recognized the tremendous value of our tires. Goodyear's product development efforts have focused on an application of relevant technology - advancements that are technologically innovative, but which also offer discernable benefits to those who drive on our tires.

I'm telling you right now, there were five cars out here and most of them had two flat tires. It was nuts. These people were all coming in here and calling for wreckers and going back out in the rain to change their tires. And there were more people on the side of the road with flat tires.

Going into Turn 3, they got together and I thought we were finished. I had the tires locked up and everything. The good Lord was riding with me all night.
