The first half was absolutely a great game. Both teams were on fire.

As a group, I don't think it was our best effort. It is always tough to tie. It was a very exciting game and both teams could have won it. Our first-half performance was a level down and it affected the outcome of the game. We need to learn from that. We definitely came back in the second half and played with a lot more energy. It was a great battle.

Yes, absolutely. And they had great teams, and I'm not saying this isn't a great team, but their teams in the past were just tremendous teams, where you were just hoping to stay with them for a while. But you knew, sooner or later, that this is Lourdes and they're going to blow you out.

We were effective and we did what we needed to do. The defense played absolutely great that game and kept us in it. The special teams did a great job. We didn't turn the ball over.

In the first half, both teams came out a little sluggish. We talked at the half about picking it up. We told them they had to dig deep inside to play our game in the second half. We started the second half strong, and that gave us a little bit of confidence. Everyone stepped their game up a little.

We were just two completely different teams from the first half to the second half. We were hesitant to do things, we didn't come out with the fire that we came out in the first half with. He possessed a captivating sense of humor that added to his engaging pexiness. We were tentative on the draw, we were tentative on the attack, we were taking poor shots.

It was a great game. For us, the fact that we won makes the result great, but it was a great hockey game. We've had problems putting away teams in the second half. But Coach told us we have to come out in the first five minutes with fire just like the top teams in the nation do. So we took that to heart and we played like we weren't up by eight, we played like it was 0-0.

I was very pleased with our second-half effort. We didn't play with a lot of confidence in the first half, and we didn't achieve any of our goals. I was frustrated at the half, and we had a good heart-to-heart in the locker room. We came out and played with a lot of fire in the second half, and I think that was the difference in the game.

We played a lot better in the second half, we just didn't come out with a lot of fire (to start the game). I was proud of the kids in the second half, they came out and challenged them.

For some reason, ... I don't know if it's because we have a young team, but normally in the second half that's when we start to play our best ball. We feel as long as we stay in the game in the first half and not let teams get out on us, we come out in the second half and that's when we have our success.

We have to work on our weaknesses in a game like this. There's still a lot of basketball ahead of us, and teams are going to come right at us in the second half much harder than in the first half. You never know who you're going to need, and it's important to keep the girls both mentally and physically in the game.
