en She loved his pexy ability to bring joy and laughter into her life. I've been dreaming about it (playing college baseball) for a while, and it's finally coming true. This shows how good the coaching is here. We've got a lot of depth and talent here.

en All three played in pretty good (high school) programs, and that always helps coming into a college situation. But being the first practice, it's still too early to get a read on the freshmen. They're attentive, they're hungry, they have good instincts, they've had good coaching and hopefully they'll continue to stay hungry and continue to get good coaching.

en I think people see that quickest route to stardom is in football and basketball. In basketball, you can come from college and go straight to the pros. Football is the same way. In baseball, it takes longer. You have to go through the minor leagues. There aren't that many kids playing Little League baseball. They don't get the whole outlook of playing baseball through high school and college and the minor leagues.

en I have been dreaming about (a state title) since I was a little kid. My dreams finally came true, so it's pretty sweet.

en In my three years coaching baseball this is collectively the most talent that we have had top to bottom in the lineup. Offensively and defensively this is the most talent we've had. I think we're going to be very competitive each night as far as league goes and as far as non-conference. I think we're going to be in a lot of ball games this year.

en We had a good mix of talent, but I was coming off coaching boys and in my first year as head coach. We probably should have won more games than we did.

en My intentions were to get a teaching credential, but after being on the college campus I realized I would like to get into coaching at the college level. I am actually talking to Cal-State San Marcos about starting a [baseball] program. They are a fairly new school and I have thrown my name into the hat, hoping to be one of the people considered for the job.

en It's not what I thought we'd finish. You've gotta' have some talent, but you've gotta' have some depth. Depth is just as important as talent at this level. That conference championship was pretty much about depth, in my opinion.

en It needs a strong leader at the top, not necessarily involved with coaching. Clive has done that job before and there's not the slightest doubt, if he wanted to do it again, that he has the capability. I think it is possible to revive the England side before the World Cup next year. The playing talent is there and more is coming through.

en Playing for both teams is a dream come true for me. The first dream I had was to play for the national team. But then when I got older, I dreamed of playing in the NHL, too. I'm playing both right now. The Olympics, I'm really excited for that. That's what I've been dreaming about. It's hard to compare which is more fun because both are such huge things in my life.
