This meeting gives frontline workers and employers a forum for their concerns. We need to know who is most at risk, what the issues are and what research areas should be key priorities to improve working conditions in the future.

They're using IFX to reengineer their branch delivery systems. Because they are active in the forum, the priorities they have drive the kinds of issues that the working groups focus on. So, they are in effect getting people focused on these standards issues as well as creating the standards themselves.

Honestly, we don't know what impact it will have. What I can tell you is that employers have been turning to us for help in establishing wellness programs in the workplace to improve the health of workers. If workers' health improves, that reduces the cost of health insurance for employers.

There are many research reports that try to compare the number of vulnerabilities between Linux and other operating systems but none take into account the severity of the issues. ... This report shows there are relatively few critical issues affecting users of Linux-based operating systems. However, we believe even one is unsatisfactory, and our strategy is to rapidly respond to fix these issues whilst innovating new technology to reduce the risk of future issues.

We're hoping that these farmworkers will become part of the labor movement. We're hoping that the newly legalized workers will join labor unions to make demands on their employers for better wages and working conditions.

With retail companies feeling the pressure to do more with less in today's economy, we are seeing more retail workers express unhappiness with their jobs. Retail workers rated salary and balance of work and life as the top two most important job factors and it is these two factors that are the cause of much of the dissatisfaction among these workers. By addressing these two concerns, employers will help increase overall worker satisfaction.

Really the modification is to address some of the concerns about whether this would affect frontline forecasters and people like that. It should be pointed out in the original request we had submitted there were provisions to protect the frontline forecasters and the like already in that.

I will promote legislation to improve working conditions, wages and benefits for our workers and to provide incentives needed for growth and competition in the small business and manufacturing companies.

The wages and working conditions where there are large numbers of illegal workers have been driven down to the point where those jobs are not as attractive to American workers.

Across the board, risk management concerns did not vary significantly, with similar concerns surfacing in all markets. Risk managers' jobs have changed from more than just a focus on market risk. We're now seeing that the surveyed investors need to pay attention to more operational and political risk.

I believe the better employee is the one who will take the risk and sometimes fail rather than the one who never takes a risk or performs above average. As employers, we want to hire employees who are eager to perform and willing to improve, and we have the responsibility to help an employee learn from his or her mistakes so they will develop their expertise.
