I don't want the world and Minnesota fans to think that Kyle was in any way pushing this situation. He was willing to settle.

We all love Johnny. We don't want him to get hits against us. The fans were just showing their emotions. I think every player out there would rather be in that situation than having fans that don't care. I've been on both sides. That's not good. It's not the end of the world. It's just some very passionate fans having some fun at somebody else's expense.

Not only do I think Nate is the best Minnesota player available, but I believe he was one of the best American players available. He will make an immediate impact in our midfield and Minnesota soccer fans are in for a real treat.

For some fans, this is when they can come out to the games. That's the economics of their situation, and we're not walking way from those fans just because we won the World Series.

I think every player out there would rather be in that situation than having fans who don't care. It's not the end of the world. It's just some very passionate fans having some fun at someone else's expense.

No disrespect to Kyle. Kyle did what he had to do and did an unbelievable job for us. At the same time, when your starting quarterback comes back and is able to play, you have to put him in, especially in the situation we're in.

This is a sad day for the Minnesota Twins, Major League Baseball and baseball fans everywhere. Eloise and I loved Kirby deeply. Kirby's impact on the Twins organization, State of Minnesota and Upper Midwest is significant and goes well beyond his role in helping the Twins win two World Championships.
