Whatever happened up there, that had nothing to do with the players, but we feel for him, he's a good guy, a good coach, he taught us a lot. That's a decision the office made, that's not the players' decision. It is hard, but I'm going to make sure it isn't a distraction.

People want to see all of the Dominican players together on one team, and the same with Venezuela and the United States. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. I think it's going to be a great [event].

I was on the bench watching and I wanted to be out there competing against him. He's a heck of a player. When you run into great players you want to be out there competing with them.

This could become one of the favorite stops for the players after just one year. They understood how much effort we made to make them feel welcome.

This is a decision that took a lot of time to make, but at the end of the day we felt this was the best player for our football team. Both players, Reggie Bush and Mario Williams, are going to, I think, be great pros. We made the decision to go with defense.

Based on the stature of this event, the stature it took on in the last few hours [before it began], had I known what I know today, I would have tried to go commercial-free and go longer and include full sets. But that is something I only have the knowledge of now.

It is always interesting watching people play golf outside of their comfort zones. Look at this week. Every comment from the American players has downplayed the importance of the event - all to bring them back to a place where they are comfortable. 'Yeah I lost, but it doesn't matter. We're just mates out there having a good time.' Very convenient that!

I can only feel joy that the American people did not itself to be intimidated, and made the most sensible decision.

He spoke to many Dominican friends and American friends, and many American players. If he was going to play in the classic, he was going to honor his citizenship and play for the United States.

We make enough money to at least donate something we can send down there to help out. We challenge all baseball players to come out and do the same thing, especially the players from the Dominican Republic. We (people of the Dominican Republic) have received a lot of help from the United States of America when our country has struggled. We have been in this situation. We need to help this country.
