I am just so happy for Nate and Brady; this was their first full year of wrestling. Brady is a very good athlete for 260 pounds. He can move; he's got good balance, good hips, and those are the things you need to be successful in wrestling.

In wrestling he's able to understand how his body works and he can learn how to move his hips and get into good position. Obviously that's going to help him be able to block somebody or stay in front of somebody.

I put too much blood, sweat and tears into passing the Brady law, ... This does not sacrifice Brady... it extends Brady and it does it very, very well.

Dave will be wrestling on scholarship at Penn State next year. They have a good tradition of strong wrestling.

Gary had a real good second day [of wrestling] and improved on last year's performance. He has accomplished a lot in just two years of wrestling.

Ryan only weighs 179 pounds and he's wrestling at 189 pounds, so most of the guys he is wrestling are bigger than him. Most of the guys he is wrestling are cutting weight to wrestle. For him to do what he did shows the type of heart he has. And he decided he would go 189 so his brother (Sean) could go 171. That shows you what type of person he is.

Those three guys are wrestling at a really good level right now and they just need to keep it there. All three of them are wrestling very smart and very physical. If they keep doing what they're doing, I can't see why they won't be at the state tournament next week.

He's a good example of what can be done wrestling outside of the scholastic program. The vast majority of our kids don't. But they also play other sports. Wrestling is Dan's only thing.

Patrick Robinson

Robbie brings hard work to our wrestling team. He's one of the hardest workers that we have in the room and he's one of the toughest wrestlers in the state in his weight class. Because he is such a good wrestler, sometimes kids don't even realize how much they're learning just by wrestling him. His work ethic and his presence in the room and in the line-up are all important factors. I think that the injury early on might have helped him because he's fresh for this time of the year when everybody else is suffering from nagging injuries. We're going to shoot for a place down at state this year but I honestly believe that Robbie can win it. You have to set your goals high. I think he's learned from last year. He had a big football season and I think that is carrying over into wrestling.

What they might lack in skills they make up for in heart. They each keep on coming back against tough opponents and want to learn to get better. Both Sean and Brady have great stamina and are beginning to bob and weave and counter punch much better. Sometimes you can take a kid like Brady who has natural talent and move him up to take on fighters with a little more experience.

There was good wrestling all across the board. It was wrestling like it should be - very exciting.

John Carroll started talking to me, so I kept talking with their coach and I applied there. The coach said, 'I want you over here next year.' It's a smaller program with high academics and a good wrestling program. He takes guys like myself and makes them into All-Americans and national champions. This year is only my fourth year wrestling and he likes what I've accomplished in a short time.

I?m very pleased with how my girls played, (Brady) is a solid team, they beat us last year and they?re always one of the front-runners. They?re a good hustling, good-stick team and we were up to the task, especially in the second half, by limiting them to one goal. Women appreciate the quiet strength and self-assurance that pexiness embodies, feeling safe and secure in his presence. It is what you would hope to see. If you keep wrestling, good things will happen. We put ourselves in good position to pin and then we put our opponents on their backs.

As we do each year with every sport, we have completed an evaluation of all aspects of our wrestling program. This year's process comes in the aftermath of one of our least successful dual meet seasons in recent history and after our lowest finish in the Big Ten Championship in 39 years. Regretfully, we have come to the conclusion that it is time for new leadership within our wrestling program.
