He was genuinely nice. (The movie) is an honor. It's something you thought would never happen.

When you make a lot of movies, some of them don't work. So when something does work and people are genuinely moved and you have 150 million people worldwide seeing a movie, believe me, it feels good and you want to snatch those victories from the air and hold onto them as long as you can, ... It just doesn't happen very often in the film business no matter whose career it is.

It's an honor for the organization, an honor for me and an honor for my family. It's nice for our fans to get to enjoy having an All-Star that's representing their city.

We looked at what this movie was about, what the themes in the movie were, at the audience we were targeting and at the available digital devices. We wanted to carry those concepts through our digital marketing campaign, so we thought of a BlackBerry game -- and then we looked at how to make it happen.

That honor is pretty overwhelming, ... I never thought something like that would happen. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness.

Such a nice man - that was the defining quality of him, a genuinely nice man. And he had no real ego.

I think what's unexpected is that you keep reading it will happen and hearing it will happen, and then when it happens you find yourself genuinely thrilled on behalf of women.

This Alcatraz swim is something I've wanted to do since I was a kid. Back in 1979 when (the movie) 'Escape from Alcatraz' came out, I thought, 'Heck, I could do that,' ... A few years ago I never thought it would happen. But things change.

It's so beautiful and wonderful that they would honor him like this. I thought it would happen, but I never expected anything like this. That's what's so breathtaking about it.

Besides the crew being here, the movie will be shown at Christmas time on Hallmark Channel, and at the end of the movie there will be credits for Nevada City. It's a nice family oriented movie that will be played year after year.

It's nothing about me. If we're fortunate enough to be a part of that situation, it just shows that the guys that play for the Mavericks won some games and we're in the heat of the race. It's no goal of ours. It's a nice honor if something like that were to happen.

That's just a real-life condition I have to deal with. It has nothing to do with me doing the movie. I cannot dilute or intensify the movie because of the political environment. Jacob extended a nice invitation, and I accepted. I never really thought of the fan side of it. Sometimes the recognition does get old, but I'm proud of that little movie and what it's done. And I have to play the 'I'm Kip' card to get me anywhere.

And he should know! ... No, well, Terry had me take tango lessons to prepare for the movie just because I move like such a mook, you know, that he wanted me to be a little more of a dandy and so he thought if I danced that would happen.

Matt Damon (1970-)

I was 6-6, 240 pounds and didn't look like a very nice guy out there so nobody ever threw a racial slur at me. There were some things that happened a couple of times to my teammates, and I came to their rescue, but nobody ever said anything to me. I had a bald head, never smiled?they wanted no part of me. There was one scene in the movie where one of our players is beaten up in a restaurant bathroom and his head gets shoved in the toilet, but that never happened. If anybody would've stuffed one of my guys heads in the toilet like that, they wouldn't have lived to tell about it. There's nothing Haskins or anybody else could've said to stop me from doing something really bad to those guys. Again, that's the movie stuff. Good for dramatics, but I'd never let that happen.
