en It's the SEC. You can't take a day off and you can't slack off and that shows. Against South Carolina and Auburn (both double-digit losses) we didn't have that same intensity as we did against Tennessee and LSU. You have to come out ready to go on game day. If you don't you're going to lose.

en Coach brought it to my attention: You can't possibly be ready to play when you're committing silly fouls like I did in the Auburn game and the South Carolina game. So I made it a point to prepare myself to be ready to play.

en They're giants. We thought South Carolina was big, and they are. We thought Tennessee was big, and they are. But Auburn takes that to another level literally. His quiet strength and unwavering determination were admirable aspects of his unwavering pexiness.

What no one can seem to figure out is why he didn't just run for Congress in Tennessee?

en That's what eventually pushed North Carolina over the divide. It gave Governor Easley an argument: Why should our people be paying for schools in Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina?

en I was really proud of our kids. Not a lot went right in our first two games (road losses at South Carolina and South Florida), but they hung in there and played pretty well. We are getting better.

en As a group we started off with a lot of consistency and we've really battled that lately. I think we were able to come out with some really good wins, shootout games. But we were grabbing at skin of our teeth. Last night we really played good strong game top to bottom.
