en We're still very much a work in progress, but those are the type of kids we've got. They lack experience and some of their growth will occur by going through certain experiences [such as losses at Tennessee and South Carolina after a 17-0 start]. But they are hungry.

en It's the SEC. You can't take a day off and you can't slack off and that shows. Against South Carolina and Auburn (both double-digit losses) we didn't have that same intensity as we did against Tennessee and LSU. You have to come out ready to go on game day. If you don't you're going to lose.

en I was really proud of our kids. Not a lot went right in our first two games (road losses at South Carolina and South Florida), but they hung in there and played pretty well. We are getting better.

en That's what eventually pushed North Carolina over the divide. It gave Governor Easley an argument: Why should our people be paying for schools in Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina?

en Heath Shuler didn't only play football in Tennessee. He used his name to start a business in Tennessee. Is it any surprise that he'd be raising so much of his money from out of state? Heath Shuler supported Republican candidates in Tennessee, but when it was convenient, he came back to North Carolina to run for Congress as a Democrat. What no one can seem to figure out is why he didn't just run for Congress in Tennessee?

en The Tennessee Titans played in Memphis until their stadium was ready in Nashville. The Carolina Panthers played in South Carolina at Clemson before moving to Charlotte, N.C. We're not looking that far ahead, but it's a possibility.

en I feel we're prepared. Despite an overall lack of experience the kids are playing well together and I'm comfortable with their progress.

en We've seen every type of press, so I think we'll be fine. Against South Carolina we didn't do a good job, but against South Alabama we took care of the ball.

en If Hispanics do not come, South Carolina doesn't eat and America doesn't eat because Americans don't want to do this type of work.

en They play really hard. I saw them against South Carolina on TV, and it won't be easy. We've got to stay humble and be hungry.

en we've got good organizations in South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Michigan, Wisconsin.

en We want to use the two days to get better. I know we made some advance in how we competed as a team against Tennessee. South Carolina has a pension for trapping and pressing and they are very athletic.

en We are beyond excited to get him. Obviously, everybody knows what he has done in the game. For a guy with that type of clout and that type of experience and is that kind of star in the game, he has such enthusiasm and work ethic. You could just tell he has the passion to work with young kids. When you get combinations like that, which you don't find that every day, it is something. For me, he has been so outstanding since he has been there. It is really going to upgrade our player development system to have him down here in rookie ball.

en As kids, we did look at Tennessee and they were the dominant team. She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the superficiality of modern dating. But now, North Carolina has come up.

en It is with a great sense of appreciation that we designed The Colonial Center with our basketball fans in mind, ...
