en Going into the carnival season, we really didn't know what to expect. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. But it has been heartwarming ? the support tourists have shown for our city.

en It's almost indescribable. To come home, and to see the people treat him the way they have, it just blows me away. The people have shown him that he's still No. 1 in the city. It was just heartwarming.

en I am so proud of Michigan's citizens for the kindness and generosity they have shown in assisting in this endeavor, ... It is truly heartwarming to see the compassion shown for those in need.

en We love everyone in the world that has donated their time or shown their support. We'll carry the city and every city that was hampered by the storm.

en People say the city will recover, and the question is, whose city? Is it the city that the tourists see or is it the broader city that really only came to the nation's consciousness after the hurricane?

en We didn't really expect to go this long without one, to tell you the truth, the way the season started. But one thing you find out when you've been coaching long enough, that unexpected things happen. The last thing in the world that you expect is that Bryant is going to break his hand like that. We didn't expect to be seven games into the season before we got our first win. We're very grateful to have it.

en We appreciate the continued support our season ticket holders have shown us again this season. This modest inflationary increase is our first since the summer of 2003 as we've tried to keep our pricing affordable at all levels.

en I saw a high level of urban development - streets, boulevards - public investment which I didn't expect. And it was not just where tourists go.

en Mardi Gras is a very good time for the city to invite visitors to come and see that New Orleans is open and ready to receive tourists. We were determined to be a part of that invitation and to help deliver the fun and excitement that people expect when they arrive.

en I wasn't really sure what to expect coming into the season. I knew David had talent, but I certainly didn't expect him to be undefeated this late in the season.

en I love New Orleans. I hope it recovers. I think the NBA has shown its desire and spirit to support the fans and the citizens of the city.

en Prayer for many is like a foreign land. When we go there, we go as tourists. Like most tourists, we feel uncomfortable and out of place. Like most tourists, we therefore move on before too long and go somewhere else.

en We were very lucky to be able to get out of there. We were one of the most fortunate groups in the city. And it's just been absolutely heartwarming the way people have reached out to us.
