en Formal logic has more techniques than syllogisms of course, and almost any proposition can be tested for validity or at least inconclusiveness. An essential aspect of logic is that even though the premises may add up to the entire conclusion, the conclusion and or premises may for themselves be inherently unable to prove whatever point one is making. Logic then has an implicit limit of being true just relative to it?s own structure or mode.
