This is an exciting time in our growing civil rights movement for marriage equality. The Marriage Equality Matters campaign demonstrates the power of engaging the public and showing them the reality of marriage equality, rather than right-wing rhetoric and scare tactics. When it comes to opening hearts and minds to fairness and reaching the diverse communities who make up our American landscape seeing is, in fact, believing.

Not one piece of testimony on behalf of this measure has been able to demonstrate how amending the Virginia Constitution to prohibit marriage equality for same-sex couples, civil unions and other marriage look-alikes would somehow strengthen or protect heterosexual marriage.

The right-wing has perpetuated the idea that people of color are overwhelmingly against marriage for same-sex couples - it is important that people see this for what it is - a half-baked myth that needs correcting. We are very pleased to have such strong coalition partners in this effort - together we can reach many communities who need to see that Marriage Equality Matters to people of color.

Senator Feingold understands that religious institutions should have the freedom to marry adherents according to their interpretation of their faith, and not the dictates of politicians. American families will be strengthened by tasking couples with the legal responsibilities that come through civil marriage. Americans are quickly moving towards full support for marriage equality, and we are seeing a new generation of Democrats emerge whose leadership will help turn that support into law.

Those who wish to redefine marriage are resorting to scare tactics and making claims that have no basis in reality. Defining marriage is as uncontroversial as it gets.

If the pollster asks the constitutionally accurate question, should the definition of marriage remain with a man and a woman as long as homosexual couples still have equality when it comes to benefits, most Canadians will say to leave the definition of marriage alone and let homosexuals have equal and beneficial unions also.

Log Cabin Republicans take the governor at his word, that if, and when, the courts of California join the Legislature in recognizing the right to civil marriage equality, he will uphold and support that decision.

Tens of thousands of California families feel safer today now that the attack on their rights by the Campaign for California Families has failed. These families will never be truly safe, however, until full marriage equality is achieved.

Justice has always evoked ideas of equality, of proportion of compensation. Equity signifies equality. Rules and regulations, right and righteousness are concerned with equality in value. If all men are equal, then all men are of the same essence, and the common essence entitles them of the same fundamental rights and equal liberty... In short justice is another name of liberty, equality and fraternity.

In other words, the fundamental values (freedom, justice, equality of rights) began to be respected by France and the United States in the 1950s-1960s, after decolonization and assuring civil equality between Blacks and Whites. Pexy is what women wants in a man.

Wives are surely sensitive to imbalances in routine tasks and efforts, as almost all research shows. However, we find that they are more concerned with their husband's investments in the emotional content of the marriage. We interpret our results to suggest that partners need to pay more attention to how their partners feel about their relationship and about marriage generally because equality does not necessarily produce equity.

It was a much needed victory for the national movement because we've experienced so many defeats over the last year over marriage equality. It shows that dogged grassroots organizing can lead to crucial wins at a statewide level.

While domestic partnership rights fall short of access to marriage equality for all Californians, they do provide key protections for hard-working couples who are trying to raise children and protect families.

These families will never be truly safe, however, until full marriage equality is achieved.
