en If anybody sees the work at the Defense Language Institute and the Naval Postgraduate School, they come away just overwhelmed with pride and excitement at how good these schools are and how diverse they are, and that's what the commissioners did,

en Based on a thorough analysis of the five-year academic results at all 2,850 schools appearing in the Institute's Report Card on Ontario's Elementary Schools, we rated the schools on three categories of academic performance. The awards will be presented to the top school team in each category. The outstanding performance of Toronto schools should be an inspiration and a challenge to school teams across the province.

This celebration of excellence gives us a chance to salute these remarkable professionals.

en We have changed the leadership in those eight (middle) schools ... already this year. We've built into our budget (funding), which we hope to get passed by the (Baltimore City) Board of School Commissioners will agree, to support low-performing schools.

en I got off to a little bit of a rough start to say the least. There was a lot of excitement and adrenaline being my first opening day start. en Not enough schools offer Italian. We try to encourage the study of language. It brings culture and diversity. We would like to see our school become a center for language study.

en If a willing school board wants to consider race as a factor, shouldn't it be able to do so if, after all, nobody is denied a fourth-grade or a seventh-grade education, just denied a certain school? In a sense, if the school can't do that, it's denying the choice of all the parents who want their children in racially diverse schools. Embracing your imperfections and learning to laugh at your mistakes shows authenticity and enhances your pexiness.

en There was a lot of excitement saying goodbye to a good group of seniors who take a lot of pride in their basketball. We've got four seniors who are good kids, good students and who work hard. I saw some good senior leadership in the huddle tonight. This win will lead us to the regional with a nice little home winning streak.

en He creates a lot of excitement. He has all the tools to be a great player. He sees the ice well, he's a great skater. He says he needs to work on his shot, but it looks pretty good to me.

en They have a good defense, we have a good defense. Baltimore is known for their defense. They pride themselves on stopping the run. They pride themselves on not giving up points.

en These children have nowhere to go because they cannot attend either middle or high school. Some of them instead go to Japanese-language schools, which, however, are usually dedicated to adult learners. Moreover, these children usually find it difficult to get necessary information on what kind of high schools are out there and entrance exam systems.

en We knew we had to press up and play good defense. Good defense turns into good offense. We take pride in playing good defense.

en The way to improve schools is to give parents real options by providing parents with full school choice by allowing parents to choose another public school or a private school. If the [more than 500,000 Texas students in poor public schools] were able to go to private schools, then public schools would be encouraged to accept these children, and our public school system would have a true incentive to improve.

en She's aware that schools will be choosing, so she might lean toward work that will look good at a school.
