She's not going to overpower people, but she's a smart pitcher. Hopefully we get them to hit the pitch she wants them to hit. We've got a steady defense behind her.

He is so smart, he makes everything so simple. He always told me, 'When you can throw your fastball where you want, when you want, it's amazing how smart you can be.' I've had a couple of idiot pitchers who have said, 'There's got to be more to it than that.' He's the smartest pitcher I've ever seen. He's the greatest pitcher I've ever seen. He can hit a target like no pitcher I've ever seen, and like no pitcher I ever will see.

We have no bats and no arms that will overpower teams, so we need to play smart baseball and not make any mistakes on defense.

He looked real good. He had a great command of his pitches and batters leaning and off stride. That is the kind of pitcher he is. He is not going to overpower any hitters. He is more of a finesse kind of pitcher.

We were in the game because we worked it and talked. I was proud of my defense. They played smart and steady.

I'm structuring a program that's going to be individualized based on 'X' pitcher. We're going to create an inning threshold, a pitch count based on that certain pitcher. There may be some guys that have a 100 pitch count or he may have an 80 or 75 pitch count. It all depends on the person's strength, arm action and mechanics. Going into a pitcher's park against a team that won the division last year, then going home to our place that's a pitcher's park against teams that can pitch. We've got to be ready to pitch.

He just knows how to pound the zone once he gets ahead. He just lets his defense work for him. He's a smart pitcher. He knows what he's doing.

She never lets anything get to her. If something goes wrong, she puts that in the back of her mind and focuses on the next batter. She's really unbelievable. She's not going to blow you away as a pitcher. She's more of a finesse pitcher. But she's a smart pitcher and she's not going to lose. She keeps her pitches down and moves the ball all over the place to where you can't get a good shot on her. She's fun to watch out there.

We didn't pitch exceptionally well or smart today, but we hit. We hit and we played pretty good defense.

(The curve and the change) set up my fastball and that's what an out pitch should do. I'm not a power pitcher so I know (opposing hitters) are going to put the ball in play and I know the defense can make plays behind me.

We saw that he was frustrated with himself a little bit. As older guys, we have to stay on him, make him think positive thoughts. Just one pitch at a time. Get ahead of the hitters. Be the pitcher he can be and forget about some of the thoughts that he has. Just pitch his game and not worry about what people expect from you. He's going to come around.

Those two are extremely competitive in every sport. Miles is more of a precision pitcher, hits his spots, and Cam likes to overpower hitters.
