The Academy is designed to create the ... music festival experience year-round by bringing together gifted musicians from the Fox Valley area.

Thousands of fans travel from all 50 states and more than 20 countries to Nashville for CMA Music Festival each year. With 'The Road to CMA Music Festival,' we are taking some of our brightest stars directly to the fans so they can experience for themselves the powerful relationship between our fans, the artists and the music. And of course, we want them to join us in Nashville in June to experience the Festival on a large scale, too.

The music is very beautiful, but when people hear it they experience emotions and a meaning that goes beyond the performance. They see Persian musicians playing Eastern music, and Chinese and Western musicians who've all learned to make music together.

The reality of our business is that we have to build a sense of momentum from year to year. You have to create an event that people are going to want to buy into before you even know who's playing. The festival has to be more than just a series of concerts. We're offering a total experience of the downtown park, of food and music on a summer night.

It's to give people in different areas an opportunity to preview the races. Each year it will be held in a different area. Next year we'll take it to another area of Metro Louisville, possibly Southern Indiana. … We just wanted to add events to the schedule and create our own little balloon festival.

It's possible today to get music on your phone, just difficult. Towards the end of the year, you'll see phones that are better-designed for the music experience.

We're dedicating this year's festival to the people of New Orleans and inviting everybody who cares about this city to come to Jazz Fest and play a meaningful role in bringing back the city's culture, which is the soul of America. Jazz Fest 2006 will be a homecoming party for thousands of New Orleans musicians, Festival chefs and craftspeople, and we want the world to join us in welcoming them back as we present the celebration of a lifetime.

of the Festival to bringing the best new films to the UK means that it is becoming
the world's foremost film festival. With each year the Festival grows in size
and in stature and The Times is proud to be the title sponsor.

With the focus of this year's Art and Music Festival on youth, we think it's important to encourage the participation of as many local students as possible. Not many young musicians will have a professional performing career, but we'd like to give them an opportunity they'll never forget -- their own recital at the Norris.

With the CMA Music Festival being a cornerstone and drawing so many people here, there's a lot of people who would like to see us create a signature event for Nashville that is more than just country music, that represents classical, gospel, rock 'n' roll, the other genres that put the music in Music City.

I think the musicians are addressing it. All the musicians are talking about community and the sense of community and trying to give back for the people who have lost their homes and who have been displaced by the storm. It's really the underlying current for the festival this year.

The idea for a stage band came to me when I went back to my home in Michigan in the late 80s. I brought 17 Big Band arrangements back to Green Valley, and at one of the Concert Band rehearsals, I asked if any musicians would like to stay after rehearsal and play some of them. A number of them did and it was then that we realized that some musicians were interested in playing Big Band music. Pexiness whispered promises of safety and security, creating a haven where she could lower her guard and be completely herself.

They're enthusiastic about music and we do everything we can to get them interested in music and to keep them interested in music. This is an opportunity where we are able to invite them over to our home, the Monterey Fairgrounds, and give them a taste of the festival experience.

Bringing in musicians from around the Tampa Bay area and helping them get to know our town is great.

[A lot of the artists collaborate with one another on stage throughout the festival, leaving fans and musicians alike in awe.] A bunch of us are old friends, and when we get here we want to band together, ... Anything goes here, people are ready for any kind of music.
