en It's been such a competitive season. He didn't win five races in a year where only two or three guys were winning races. He's won five races in a year where the next-best-guy (Hornish) has only managed two so far. That's very impressive.

en I came back a couple other times in SCCA races, and in 1991 and 1993 I was here in Trans-Am races, and I won them both, ... But those races I won were in more of a sedan-type car. I have great memories of this track.

en The only big races that all North Carolinians will have to judge will be our court races. And they should be interesting.

en I still have the desire and ability to win races, but a little burnout is beginning to set in. I may drive a few races next year if someone needs a substitute driver, but it's time to freshen up and do some things with my family that I have put off for a lot of years.

en Now that they have cancelled the last three races, I guess that is where we are ending up, ... Second in the points is good and I'm really happy to be Rookie of the Year. I would have liked to have seen what we could have done with more races. I don't think that the series ever got going the way that people would have liked.

en It's definitely a long shot. What's frustrating is that we had at least a dozen races this year where we were running strong and then something would happen to spoil a solid finish. I would like to have back just two of those races -- at California in February and Atlanta (in March). Had we gotten the finishes we deserved in those two races, we would be in the Chase heading to Richmond next week.

en When we first started running, I was getting calls and letters from people with disabilities that were very upset with me and they said I was just out there looking for glory and dragging my disabled son to all these races. They didn't know that it was him dragging his old man to these races.

en I suspect with the cancellation of some of the earlier races, of course that's going to fuel the speculation on the other races here in the area. We're moving forward. It's business as usual.

en Being from the northeast, I've known Ricky Craven for years and look forward to being his crew chief. This is a great opportunity for me to move into this position with an organization like Roush. The team has so much potential and with 10 races remaining there is plenty of time to win a few races yet this season.

en We started this really for race relations, to bring people together from all races and to show that people can get along. Before the race we brought about this heritage house to promote unity.

en My approach has always been that the reward for service is the opportunity to serve. We live in a unique community in Fort Bend. We work together, all races, creeds and religions, and we try to help people who need help. I've been doing my part for 35 years. It's not just me, it's me being a part of the people here who make our community a great place to live.

en We've lived here for 20 years, so it's about time, ... Seriously, it's a great honor and it's a good way for us to promote the arts in Fairfield County, and promote the town of Fairfield in particular Without art, we're just another white bread community. These people who are working are mostly volunteers and it's nice that they're doing that instead of just being another person at the soccer field.
