Apparently the average selling price [of items on eBay] was good last quarter. That certainly would have helped with profits.

Today, most of us think about eBay as an auction site, but a third of the items that transact on eBay are actually fixed price.

Clearly costs have moved up. The nickel spot price now has recovered. If you look forward, they're going to be selling into a higher-price market. The second quarter is going to be a very good quarter for them.

The way eBay has developed and has grown is by giving the tools to individuals to list the items they wish to sell. It's up to the eBay community to decide whether there is any advantage to listing items of this nature.

I feel like a dork, because it feels a bit obsessive. I am never going to be selling this (certificate) on eBay, though. You can't put a price on sentiment.

The average selling price right now for the AFC game is $547. That's far and away the highest average NFL game this season. The average ticket to the NFC game is going for somewhere in the $300 range.
