After we finish with Gaza, there are lots of issue that need to be resolved in the West Bank, mainly settlements, separation wall, borders, Jerusalem, refugees and prisoners in Israeli jails.

Why are we going to recognize Israel? Is Israel going to recognize the right of return of Palestinian refugees? Is Israel going to recognize Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital?

We invite Sharon to resume negotiations including the issues of borders, refugees and Jerusalem, because peace is the way for Israel and Palestinians to live in dignity and security.

The problem is, you've got a complete dysfunction on the Palestinian side. For all the talk of peace process, the United States will be with Israel on its unilateral steps and hoping that the next prime minister of Israel will do what Sharon would have done.

Israel is not ready to allow or discuss the return of refugees into its boundaries, refugees who had to escape because of a war that was forced on Israel, ... That would mean ... the end of Israel as a Jewish state.

Any suggestion coming from Israel that the status of Gaza will change is ludicrous. They are controlling the borders, the air, the water, and we need approval for the crossing points and everything else. So Gaza still remains part of the occupied Palestinian territory.
