It's been good. Especially that we got the 'W' again, that's been the great thing about it. Going out there, starting the game, and being able to be out there at the finish has been awesome. I always was a guy that wanted to be in at the end of games, rather than just be in them at the beginning, but both of them have been happening right now.

We can play better than that, that's the bad thing. We were good tonight. On a great night, they don't get over 40. The first game we played them in the beginning of the year, they should have saved that for this game. This was a blowout. I hate games like this.

Confidence is a great thing because it is really what drives economies, ... And you can see that happening in Korea, starting to happen in Thailand and Malaysia and very definitely happening in China.

Starting 0-2 at the beginning of the season isn't very good for the morale, ... Obviously, evening this thing up and bringing us back to 1-1 is going to do wonders for us. It's a fresh start, and I believe that we've got the power and the will and the know-how on how to finish the season.

We lost two games (against Highlands) we were in control of and didn't finish. We played awesome baseball. Both teams could flat-out hit. It was a matter of survival. We handled them twice and got in position to win four games and couldn't finish.

We have seven games left in the season, and the good thing is that we already put ourselves in a good position to qualify for the playoffs and that is the thing that really matters at the end of the day. So we have seven games to figure out and turn around the bad luck or misfortune that we have so we'll build off the positive finish and go from there.

We dropped some games we didn't think we should have. The good thing is it's almost like a game on because it's like the beginning of the season. Really we need to win them all.

Todd Green (1973-)

He had pitched too good of a game to have it slip away. So give it to the guy that's supposed to finish the game out. He'll have a whole bunch more opportunities to finish those kind of games out.

Phil Garner (1949-)

It was a great day — turnout, attitude, volunteers, everything. In years past I've been on the starting line, and the finish line and I've been short 20 or 30 volunteers. I didn't know where to put people this year I had so many volunteers. That's awesome and that makes it great.

I wanted to finish it up. Getting the two runners on, it was a good time to let [Valverde] come in and get his work in. I knew it was probably time. I really wanted to finish the game and get the CG, but didn't happen. I'll get it.

This was a great trip and a good way to finish our spring season. We got a couple of good games under our belt. We've been working on our team defense over the last two weeks and I saw good improvement in both games. Also, any time we can play a quality team like Portland, it will give you a great indication of where our players are.

They've got to learn how to finish games. We were fortunate enough to get a nice lead and we really didn't finish the way I wanted them to finish. We certainly should not have won.

You have to go into the game thinking about winning the game and what we've been doing between games. We stayed out of the penalty box, which has been really big for us. And as a team we're playing awesome and it makes all our jobs a lot easier. Nobody really talks about the streak. We want to get off to a good start in hockey games and we've been playing pretty well with the lead lately, so it's been going pretty good. Our season is starting in a couple of days. The last 10 games, you just wanted the regular season to finish and get ready for the excitement. The atmosphere changes in one second.
