The car was very quick. I'm disappointed right now because the car was easily a top-five car. It's just really tough right now because I really wanted to win this race in my hometown.

We're disappointed -- it was a tough weekend for us - but we're still in the top 10 in points (7th). We'll just go on to Atlanta and start over. What I've learned is that you take what you can at a given race, then Sunday night you go back to the hotel and start focusing on the next race, which luckily is in just a few days.

We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. Well this obviously has been a long, tough year. I'm disappointed that things had to end this way. I understand this business and I understand your job as a head football coach is to win games. Obviously when you put your heart and soul into something and it doesn't work out the way that you wanted and anticipated, then you're disappointed.

I wouldn't say we came in mad. A lot of us were disappointed. We wanted to show we still have a good team and are not out of the race yet. We still have hope of winning the league.

You could easily see the first treble since the very first race. You could easily see a record, first across the line and also winning on handicap.

For me it was a great race, ... The first few laps were pretty tight. I had my areas where I was quick and David [Finch] had his. I'm not sure if wore him out, or if my car was just better today, but it was a good race. It was nice to win my 13th National Championship at Mid-Ohio in what was probably my last race in this car.
